First event is April 19

Coming this Sunday, April 19, it's the return of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra's Concerts for Kids! The musical theme this time is Cinderella!

Conductor Albert-George Schram and the Columbus Symphony will perform music from Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev's ballet Cinderella (that's the musical score just used by BalletMet for their production of Cinderella). This one-hour program, designed for kids ages 3-10, will feature additional dance tunes, magical trombones, ballerinas and, of course, music from Disney.

Children and parents are invited to dress like their favorite fairytale character and come early to enjoy pre-concert activities that begin at 2 p.m. in the Capitol Theatre lobby. Activities include:

See and play instruments from Music & Arts Centers and The Loft Violin Shop Harp "Petting Zoo" courtesy of the studio of CSO harpist Jude Mollenhauer Instruments and musical fun with WeJoySing Crafts with the Columbus Museum of Art Musical tattoos Meet the CSO musicians Meet Mr. Sunny from Sunny 95

The Capitol Theatre inside the Riffe Center is located at 77 S. High St. in downtown Columbus. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children, and can be purchased at the CAPA Ticket Center (39 E.
