At the Dublin Arts Council
The Dublin Arts Council is hosting a poster contest in conjunction with its upcoming exhibition of the work of Alfred Tibor. The 95-year-old Holocaust survivor is an internationally-known sculptor and Columbus resident. The exhibit will be focused around Tibor's personal motto "Hatred Doesn't Work."
Students in kindergarten through twelfth-grade are invited to submit posters that explore the theme and include the words "Hatred Doesn't Work." Subject matter can include bullying, racial tension/acceptance or other issues that impact students' lives. The winning poster will be used to help promote Tibor's message in schools and businesses in advance of the exhibition. The Dublin Arts Council will display as many posters as possible in the north gallery at Dublin Arts Council during the exhibition.
The submission deadline is 5 p.m., June 19, 2015.
