at the Serpent Mound
Budding herpetologists will want to join their cold-bloodied friends for the Return of the Snakes event at the Serpent Mound in Peebles, Ohio.
The free event will feature one of the largest collections of Ohio's native reptiles and amphibians and lessons about the animals and their environment. Hourly workshops will focus on venomous snakes, frogs, turtles and more.
The program takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, at the Serpent Mound - located about 100 miles south of Columbus. The structure was built by Native Americans more than 1,000 years ago. Parking costs $8 per vehicle.
