10th annual show is this Saturday
Craftin' Outlaws is back! The 10th annual holiday edition of Columbus' greatest craft show happens this Saturday, Nov. 14 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.
Along with a huge selection of the Midwest's very best handmade goods, this year's family-friendly shopping event features crafty tunes, cocktails, tons of make-and-take activities plus the return of the Craft Corner Deathmatch, which pits crafter against crafter putting glue guns to the test. Three bouts will be held throughout the day, open to guests, vendors and the craftiest of crafters.
This year's festival also will feature a wide variety of make-and-takes from crafty Columbus businesses. Wholly Craft gift shop, also celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, will be bringing its popular Pinterest Party to Craftin' Outlaws. Wholly Craft owner Olivera Bratich will provide all the materials needed to make a Pinterest-style project.
Admission is free. The first 100 guests of the day will receive a Craftin' Outlaws swag bag, and Happy Hour giveaways will take place at the top of every hour. A diaper drive will benefit the nonprofit group Columbus Diaper Coalition, a diaper bank for Central Ohio families.
This year's festival will take place in the Convention Center's Battelle North ballroom, located one floor above the Convention Center Food Court and next to the Hyatt Regency Ballroom. Parking options include the Convention Center's South Parking Garage, plus seven other garages and lots within easy walking or biking distance in the Short North and Arena District.
