are back at the Gateway Film Center!

Clear your Saturday morning calendar because Saturday Morning Cartoons are back at the Gateway Film Center!

Beginning this Saturday, Nov. 14 at 10:30 a.m., the ritual that defined Saturday mornings for kids and parents alike for generations returns every month.

The Saturday Morning Cartoons at Gateway Film Center program will be made up of 90 minutes of cartoons selected from a different era each month, plus original (and now often hilarious) contemporary commercials. Among the early selections GFC guests can plan to see episodes of The Smurfs, Hong Kong Phooey, Pee Wee's Playhouse, Scooby-Doo, Tiny Toons, The Care Bears, The Completely Mental Misadventures of Ed Grimely and more.

Because breakfast is an essential part of the Saturday Morning Cartoons experience, an individual cereal box is included in the ticket price. Guests can personalize their cereal pour by choosing from different white milks, chocolate milk or soy. Other nostalgic food choices include pigs in a blanket on a stick, Eggo waffles with optional cinnamon and sugar, and local just-made donuts. Hot, locally-roasted coffee will be brewed fresh too.

Tickets are $5. Breakfast service begins at 10 a.m., and cartoons go on at 10:30 a.m.
