Steep your family in Thanksgiving traditions with a visit to Slate Run Living Historical Farm!

Volunteers will explain the customs of Thanksgiving and share the history of some of the elements of our nation's most famous meal, including early uses of corn and pumpkins.

Visitors also will learn a bit about butchering a turkey. The "Turkeys, Traditions and Thanksgiving" program will be geared to children of all ages. The event runs from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 22 at the Slate Run Farmhouse, 1375 State Route 674 North, Canal Winchester 43110.
