Your 15-minute pick up
Take 15 minutes every day to pick up around the house. Wipe down the counter tops and stove top, do a quick dusting in your most used room, put shoes away, hang up coats, put newspapers in the recycling bin, etc. All these things can quickly add up by the end of the week, so tackle it on a day-to-day basis and your home will feel more organized, clean and clutter free.

Mail time!
Mail can pile up faster than you know it and by the time you realize you have created a mountain of paper, it's too late. You have no choice but to endure the tedious and time consuming task of sorting through all that mail and possibly sacrificing some of your fingers to tiny painful paper cuts. No fun at all!

Spare yourself the time (and your fingers) by going through your mail every day and pitch or recycle junk mail immediately. Not only will you save time by not having to go through a pile of mail each week, but you will also free up that space you were using for mail and use it for something else; perhaps a picture of your family or a vase full of beautiful spring flowers.

Wash dishes as you go-go
Don't wait to wash the dishes until dinner's over and there are tons of to do. Instead, while you are preparing the meal or waiting for it to cook, wash the dishes you have used so far, or rinse them off and put them in the dishwasher. If you have a dishwasher, wait until the dishwasher is full before running it. You will save time because you won't constantly be putting dishes away and you'll save water as well. Cutting down on the amount of dishes to do after a meal leaves time for you to sit and relax. Something we never can get enough of.
