May 30 In conjuction with the Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian Happy Meal Toys, premiering at McDonald's May 22, the central Ohio Co-Op for McDonald's Restaurants is raising money for the Ohio Historical Society (OHS). On Saturday, May 30, $.50 from the sale of every Happy Meal sold in central Ohio will be donated to OHS. "McDonald's is excited to support the work of the Ohio Historical Society throughout central Ohio," said Jeff Newman, local owner/operator and president of McDonald's central Ohio marketing cooperative. "It's such a worthy organization. They not only take care of Ohio's history but bring it alive for all of us. We know that our customers will come out to support them." In addition, McDonald's will be sponsoring a Night at the Museum event at the Ohio Historical Center Sat., June 20, 7 11 p.m. Tickets will be $12 for adults and $9 for youth with member discounts available. May 31 Haircuts for Harry: Cut-A-Thon Benefit Theowner of MiMo Family Salon + Spa, 1266 E. Powell Rd. is holding a fundraising "Cut-a-Thon" on May 31st for a very sick little boy in the Olentangy school district. The child has a brain tumor and now leukemia, and has been through more (only being in 2nd grade) than most grown adults have been through. There is a $10 minimum donation and cuts are done as first come first serve.100% of the proceeds to the family, and for more information visit Dreams on Horseback Open House This is a free open house for children with special needs, including ADD/ADHA, autism, and social and emotional challenges.
