Come in costume on October 30 during Family Friday Night from 5-9 p.m. or on Saturday, October 31 and explore the spooky science of Halloween with COSI's "Pumpkin Patch" Science Show, "Pumpkin Patch You Try It" Family Workshops (workshops $5 additional), Trick-or-Treat stations and spooky cart activities like exploding pumpkins and more! Circleville Pumpkin Show
Nothing symbolizes the arrival of autumn more than giant pumpkins. If you're looking for pumpkins with the flair of homespun Americana, there's no better place to go than to one of the nation's largest pumpkin festivals, the 102nd Circleville Pumpkin Show. Admission to the pumpkin show is free and it runs until October 24. Located at 159 E. Franklin St. The hours of the show are Tuesday 5 - 10 p.m., Wednesday 9 a.m. - 11 p.m., and Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. - 11 p.m. For more information visit www.pumpkinshow.com.

How I Became a Pirate
AARRRRGH! Who doesn't want to be a pirate? Based upon a multi-award winning book, join Braid Beard and his crew of pirates as they invite young Jeremy Jacobs aboard on their trip to bury treasure! Jeremy lives the dream of every young boy and learns all about being a pirate: how to sing chanteys, to throw food across the table and his manners to the wind! A heartwarming comedy of adventure and finding one's own heart a path that can't be found on a treasure map. The play is showing on October 22, 23, 29 and 30 at 7:30 p.m.; October 24 at 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.; and October 25 at 3 p.m. Tickets start at $11 and are available by calling (614) 224-6672. Kids Cooking Classes
Children ages 3-6 are invited to join real food advocate Rachel Tayse to explore, cook and taste local harvest foods. This week's class uses crackers. Hemophilia Walk of Central Ohio
A 5K and 1-mile walk around the campus of The Ohio State University to benefit the Central Ohio Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation. Anyone is welcome, including dogs on leashes. For more information and to register visit www.hemophilia.org/walk.
Howling Halloween Costume Party
Dress up and come on down to Sprout Soup for the celebration of our one year in business. Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is a noncompetitive walk to help fight breast cancer and provide hope to people facing the disease. This year's walk will be held on Sunday, October 25.
