The Central Ohio Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is proud to announce that the exhilarating stair climbing and fundraising competition, Battle of the Badges, is returning to the Rhodes State Office Tower on February 27, 2010.

Hundreds of firefighters and law enforcement officers from departments throughout Ohio will have the opportunity to climb as a two-person or four-person team, or tackle all 40 flights of stairs as a solo climber. The fastest solo firefighter and law enforcement officer will be presented medals by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger during an exclusive luncheon on March 7, 2010 at the Arnold Sports Festival.

New this year -- the CF Foundation has Commit to Be Fit with 10TV News HD anchor Andrea Cambern for Climb For A Cure. Held on the morning of February 27, 2010 at the Rhodes State Office Tower, corporate wellness programs and the general public will have the opportunity to climb all 40 flights as a solo climber or as a two-person or four-person team.

Currently there is no cure for cystic fibrosis. The CF Foundation has made great strides since it began, when few children lived to attend elementary school. Today, thanks to research funded by the CF Foundation, the median age of survival for a person with cystic fibrosis is in the late 30s. This is a remarkable improvement, but it is not good enough, as we continue to lose at least one precious life to CF every day.

We need your help to find a cure! You can help make a difference by supporting or participating in Battle of the Badges or Climb For A Cure. Sign up as a climber, sponsor a team, make a pledge-per-flight climbed, or volunteer.
