In case you hadn't heard, Columbus is celebrating its bicentennial in 2012. To wish Columbus a happy birthday, Parent has drummed up 200 reasons why this fair city is a great place to raise a family.

Keep your kids' reading skills sharp over the summer. Join Columbus Metropolitan Library's Summer Reading Club! The program is a fun family activity. Everyone from infants to adults can join. You can even earn great prizes throughout the program.
Sign up starts June 9 at all 21 Columbus Metropolitan Library locations. The big kickoff celebration is at Main Library at 96 S. Grant Avenue from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Entertainment includes performances by The Shazzbots, Mr. Puppet, Doctah X, Spin Art, craft projects and refreshments.
