Festival Latino The family-friendly Festival Latino is back at Genoa Park for a weekend of exciting events and activities. Enjoy entertainment and food as you learn about Latin America. Broad St., Downtown, 614-469-0939, Dublin Irish Festival The Irish Fest has reached a milestone anniversary: For the past 25 years, Dublin has come alive each summer as thousands of people celebrate Irish heritage and culture. The 2012 event will feature more than 500 performers (including Irish dancers and musicians), kids' activities in the Wee Folk Area and authentic food. The festival takes place Aug. 3-5. If so, bring them to the Zoo for this annual event. Kids can have their stuffed bears examined by experts from Nationwide Children's Hospital, giving them the opportunity to learn about health and wellness. There will also be other bear-related activities throughout the day. Plus, kids ages 2-9 who bring their bears will receive free Zoo admission! The Teddy Bear Safari is on Aug. 11 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Columbus Zoo & Aquarium, 4850 W. Powell Rd., Powell, 800-MONKEYS, 10TV Health & Fitness Expo Find out how to keep the family moving all year round at this two-day expo. Sponsored by WBNS-10TV, you'll find fitness demonstrations, free screenings, special guests and an abundance of healthy living information at the third annual event. Columbus Parent is sponsoring a Back to School Pavilion and there's also a designated Kids Sports Area from 97.1 The Fan radio. The expo is Aug. 18-19, with free admission from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Greater Columbus Convention Center, 400 N. High St., Downtown, 614-460-3700, The Great Scioto Duck Race It's a fun, new event from Nationwide Children's Hospital, and best of all, it's for a great cause! Head to Genoa Park on Sept. 2 for the first-ever Duck Race. Purchase rubber ducks (duck packages range from $5 for one duck to $100 for 25) and watch as they race through the water after being dropped from the Broad St. Bridge.
