There's never a shortage of family-appropriate activities for Columbus families. Here are some of our picks for this month.

Rainbow Fish

Based on the popular book by Marcus Pfister, a CAPA performance of "Rainbow Fish" will be at the Lincoln Theatre for a one-day event. The hour-long show tells the tale of a beautiful fish with special silver scales. It's suitable for kids from kindergarten through second grade. Don't miss your chance to see it: Show times are 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 20. Tickets cost $5 per person.

Arnold Sports Festival

He's famous for saying "I'll be back," and Mr. Schwarzenegger himself typically makes an appearance at this annual Columbus festival. Sports enthusiasts will gather for an expo, competitions and more Feb. 28 through March 3. You can catch events (like bodybuilding, fencing and even jump rope!) all over the city, including Veterans Memorial, the Convention Center and the Columbus Commons.

Columbus Blue Jackets

Hockey fans, rejoice: The lockout is finally over! The Blue Jackets are back in action at Nationwide Arena. In February, we'll have games on Feb. 5, 7, 10, 11 and 26 to enjoy on our home ice! In March, there are home games on March 3, 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 19, 22 and 31, and in April, the home games take place on April 7, 9, 12 and 27.

The Stinky Cheese Man

Prepare to laugh! Check out the Columbus Children's Theatre performance of "The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales." Kids ages 4 and up will see a whole new side of their favorite characters. The show runs from Feb. 7-24, and show times vary based on the day. Tickets cost $13-$21 (except for the Thursday shows, when they are only $11!), and you can see it at the Park Street Theatre.

Disney on Ice

Disney is coming to Nationwide Arena with its newest ice spectacular. "Disney on Ice: Treasure Trove" features your favorite animated characters like Rapunzel, Snow White, Peter Pan and more in an exciting adventure. The show runs from Feb. 20 to Feb. 24, with various show times. Tickets range from $17-$48.
