Learn about the biggest summer reading program in Central Ohio.
It's the biggest summer reading program in Central Ohio and the fun kicks off on Saturday, June 8, at the Columbus Metropolitan Library's Main Branch.
The theme this year is "Rock Out! Read" and the program runs for eight weeks, until Aug. 3. Readers of ALL ages (including grown-ups) are welcome to participate and earn prizes as they reach their reading goals. It's very simple: Kids, ages 4 and younger, just need to read (or be read to) for at least 2 hours to start earning prizes (and any parent knows how easy it is to reach two hours' worth of reading with just one copy of Goodnight Moon). Readers ages 5 and up start earning prizes with just four hours of reading.
You can register to enter and get your reading log at any Columbus Metropolitan Library or Southwest Public Libraries branch. For more information, visit columbuslibrary.org/summerreadingclub
