Fall Flea

Moms and Dads, if you're in need of some autumn apparel or love searching for unique finds, bring the family to Fall Flea on Sunday, Oct. 6. Held seasonally throughout the year, Flea sets up shop from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Seventh Son Brewing Company in Italian Village. There, you'll find a treasure trove of clothing, furniture, handmade jewelry, art and more. There's no admission cost, and a portion of the proceeds benefits the Mid-Ohio Foodbank.

Walk Now for Autism Speaks

Support Autism research and awareness during the annual Walk Now for Autism Speaks on Sunday, Oct. 13. It's hosted by national organization Autism Speaks, which presents walks throughout the United States. The Columbus walk is happening at Huntington Park, with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. and the walk at 11 a.m. Register as an individual, or grab your family and friends to form a team. There's no fee for registration, but fundraising is encouraged.

Walk to Cure Diabetes

Another walk for another good cause! Each year, the Mid-Ohio chapter of JDRF takes over the Shoe at OSU for a walk to benefit finding a cure for juvenile diabetes. Walkers will make a lap around the campus on Sunday, Oct. 13, and there's food, activities and more. Registration is at 9 a.m. and the walk begins at 10:30 a.m. There's no registration fee, but participants are encouraged to set a fundraising goal.

Circleville Pumpkin Show

Pumpkin lovers, rejoice! You can't escape the fall staple at the annual Circleville Pumpkin Show. This year's festival runs from Oct. 16-19, and there's a whole slew of activities: entertainment, parades, competitions and plenty of pumpkin food and drinks (Schmidt's pumpkin cream puff, anyone?). Circleville is an easy drive from Columbus, and admission is free for all.

Highball Halloween

The Short North's Halloween event is presenting an afternoon especially for the kids on Saturday, Oct. 26. From 12 noon until 4 p.m., head to Highball with your family for face painting, pumpkin carving, games, entertainment and more. And don't forget costumes - look for the kid's costume contest that afternoon. Tickets are $5 for adults at the gate, and kids ages 12 and younger are free during the kids' activities timeframe. And if adults want more Halloween fun, Highball activities also take place on Friday, Oct. 25.
