The touring production of Disney's stage musical The Lion King returns to Columbus Oct. 14 through Nov. 9 at the Ohio Theatre. CHILDREN SINGING

The Columbus Children's Choir will present its fall concert Oct. 12 in Capital University's Mees Hall. The CCC is an umbrella organization for five ensembles comprised of singers in grades 3-12.

When famous superhero Blackjack the Bold is kidnapped by an evil sorcerer, it's up to his assistant Inky to step up and save the day in Super Sidekick: The Musical! This high-energy show is chock-full of comic-book style action and catchy songs with witty lyrics. And with a running time of one hour, it's perfect for younger audiences. Celebrate Halloween at the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens Oct. 25 and 26. Wear a costume and visit trick-or-treat stations to collect treats in a bucket you decorated yourself. And on Sunday, Oct. 26, at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., enjoy live music from The Shazzbots, performing family-friendly seasonal favorites.

More Disney music is in store for central Ohio audiences courtesy of Disney Live! Mickey's Music Festival, which plays two shows Oct. 26 at the Schottenstein Center.
