JOURNEY TO NEVERLAND
Columbus Children’s Theatre follows up its production of “Tuck Everlasting” with another age-focused tale. This time, it’s a musical take on the classic J.M. Barrie adventure story, “Peter Pan.” The two-act musical is suitable for all ages, but do note that it’s 120 minutes long. The show will be staged May 17-19 at the Southern Theatre. CATCO, CSG TEAM UP
CATCO is Kids is collaborating with the Columbus School for Girls to co-produce “Haroun and the Sea of Stories,” a fantastic tale of adventure and discovery with original music, based on the book by Salman Rushdie. The show runs May 3-12. Tickets are $10 and $15.

THE YOUNG KING
The Wexner Center for the Arts hosts Australia’s Slingsby Theatre Company for an adaptation of an Oscar Wilde short story on May 18-19. Original music, inventive staging and a production that appeals to kids’ natural sense of curiosity highlight “The Young King,” a story in which the title character learns the origins of his wealth and must make a choice. The show, part of the Zoom Family Programming series, is recommended for ages 8 and older. The Sunday matinee will be a sensory-friendly performance. Tickets are $7 to $18.

FROM SCREEN TO STAGE
Your preschooler’s favorite TV heroes come to life onstage as PJ Masks returns to Columbus. In “PJ Masks Live! Save the Day,” Catboy, Owlette and Gekko, with their new friend PJ Robot, sing, dance, do heroic gymnastics and more as they battle Romeo, Night Ninja and Luna Girl. The show comes to the Ohio Theatre on May 28. Tickets start at $28.50.

MUSIC OF NATURE
Celebrate Earth and all of its beauty and wonder in the multimedia presentation “National Geographic: Symphony for Our World,” on tap May 19 at the Ohio Theatre. A live orchestra and chorus will perform as some of the most spectacular footage from National Geographic is shown on the big screen, from undersea life to mountaintop experiences.
