What is Columbus Parent?
Columbus Parent is a free quarterly, glossy magazine and website published by Dispatch Magazines. It was founded in 1989 as an independent publication and acquired by The Dispatch Printing Company in 1991. Columbus Parent now is part of the Dispatch Media Group portfolio and is owned by Gannett Co, Inc. The publication has received multiple awards, including from the All Ohio Excellence in Journalism Awards, sponsored by the Press Club of Cleveland, and Ohio's Best Journalism Awards, sponsored by three chapters of the Society of Professional Journalists.

Where can I find a copy of Columbus Parent?
The magazine circulates more than 26,000 copies in 45 ZIP codes at nearly 800 locations around Central Ohio (including libraries, schools, day care centers, doctors' and dentists' offices and some stores). To find a pickup location, go to this ZIP-code searchable columbusparent.com/locations.

Can Columbus Parent be delivered to my home?
At this time, we do not have a subscription option.

Can I have copies of Columbus Parent delivered to my business?
We accept a limited number of distribution requests. Please send an email to mmyers@dispatch.com with the following information: organization name, full street address, contact name, contact phone number and number of copies requested (the minimum is 15). You may also call our main number at 614-461-8878.

What happens if I have leftover copies of Columbus Parent at my pick-up location?
Copies are delivered each month by a carrier who is contracted by the Dispatch Media Group to serve a defined delivery area. That carrier should remove leftover copies and replace them with the new issue. You should not recycle or throw out leftover copies because our carrier is supposed to report pickup rates at each location. If a location consistently runs out of copies, we may contact you to discuss providing more copies--or you can contact us to request an increase. If most copies are not picked up, we may cut the amount delivered.

Do you have a digital edition of the magazine?
Yes, you can read an exact digital replica of the print publication at this page on our website.

When is content from the print edition posted online?
Magazine content is published to ColumbusParent.com each week on a rolling schedule. If you do not find the story you are looking for, it may not be published online yet.

How can I submit a story idea or a press release?
Please send ideas to our editorial staff at editor@columbusparent.com.

How can my organization add an upcoming event to the Columbus Parent calendar?
There is no charge for an event to be included in our online or print calendars. Anyone can submit a family-oriented event at columbusparent.com/calendar. Click on the "Promote Your Event" button at the top of the page and follow the directions. You will need to create a login. Please be sure to select one of the "Kids/Family" categories when submitting an event. For a step-by-step guide on submitting an event, visit Evvnt's support page.

Select events from the online calendar are used in our print calendar on a space-available basis. Events must be submitted by the first of the month prior to the quarterly publication date to be considered for the print edition. Note that if you are operating a for-profit business, your listing may be deemed more suitable for advertising.

How do I purchase a PDF reprint of a particular story or stories?
Our PDFs are intended for online use and small reprint jobs. Please fill out our PDF reprints form here and return form with payment to:

How do I sign up for the newsletter?
