Video Illustrates Importance of Getting Help
The Childhood League Center has launched a new effort to educate Central Ohio parents about the importance of early intervention when it comes to developmental delays.
The “Meet the Meeples” campaign includes a four-minute animated video that illustrates the importance of seeking help if parents suspect their child is missing typical milestones. See it at interveningearly.org/meet-the-meeples. In many cases, according to the Childhood League Center, intervention can help children catch up to their peers.
The Childhood League Center, which was founded in 1945, serves children with development delays including autism spectrum disorder. One of its services is the PLAY Project, an early intervention effort that aims to improve a child’s social, communication and functional skills through play. It opened last year as the first licensed PLAY Project center in the United States.
