Kids can fly paper airplanes, make music and more
COSI’s latest hand-on exhibition challenges visitors to put on their thinking caps to explore the role creativity plays in innovation.
“Imaginate,” which opened Feb. 3, focuses on five themes: Collaborate or Compete; Dream Big; Expect the Unexpected; Look to the World; and Try, Try and Try Again. Twenty activities aim to involve visitors and challenge their critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
Hands-on activities include designing and flying paper airplanes, exploring a Materials Playground, making music in a light-up Sound Lab, comparing surfaces such as aluminum and Teflon, and seeing how materials used for shelter and water transport have evolved throughout the world and over time.
Imaginate, which is designed and built by the Ontario Science Centre, runs through April 29. For more information, go to cosi.org.
