The science center's upcoming exhibition features superheroes and STEM skills.

Fans of DC’s Justice League will soon get to check out the Hall of Justice and Gotham City without leaving Columbus.

COSI will host a new traveling exhibition, “DC Super Heroes: Discover Your Superpowers,” from Feb. 8 to May 25. According to COSI, the immersive environment invites guests to battle bad buys and use teamwork and problem-solving skills to restore order to the DC universe while exploring familiar venues such as the Hall of Justice, Gotham City and S.T.A.R. Labs. Featured characters include Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Aquaman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Supergirl and Batgirl, plus a few select villains.

The exhibit, produced by The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis in partnership with Warner Bros., features a variety of games and interactive activities.

Other upcoming exhibits include:

“¡Cuba!” will explore various facets of the island off the Florida coast through a bilingual exhibition in the American Museum of Natural History Special Exhibition Gallery at COSI, which currently houses “Unseen Oceans.” The new exhibit will explore the island’s natural history, ecosystems, native species and geology. “¡Cuba!” will be open March 21 through Sept. 7. “The Animation Academy,” opening June 6, will focus on various forms of animation, from hand drawing to stop-motion techniques to CGI. It will be open to visitors through Sept. 7.

Note that if you haven’t yet caught the AMNH-produced “Unseen Oceans” make plans quickly: The last day is Feb. 2. The companion exhibition to the AMNH Dinosaur Gallery at COSI allows visitors to learn about the technology being used to explore the oceans, see fossil replicas (including a megalodon tooth), explore a partial replica of a Triton submarine, and discover the work of Ohio researchers.
