Forget dinner and a movie. This winter at the Ohio History Center, families can enjoy history and a movie. The museum is once again organizing family-friendly evenings at an affordable price.
The First Friday Film Series, a highlight of the OHC’s winter programming, provides families with an opportunity to explore the venue and enjoy a kid-friendly movie, said public relations manager Emmy Beach. “The event starts at 5 [p.m.]. When visitors come, they can explore the museum,” she said. “We also have crafts that families can do together.”
The museum also sets up a theater-style concession stand selling candy and popcorn, she said. Movies begin at 7 p.m.

Jan. 4 – “Bedknobs and Broomsticks” Feb. 1 – “The Mighty Ducks” April 5 – “Field of Dreams”Admission is $8 for adults, $4 for ages 4–12 and free for ages 3 and younger and Ohio History Connection members. The center is located at 800 E. 17th Ave., Columbus.
