Scrooge: The Musical
Bah humbug! Ebenezer Scrooge is taking center stage during TAPA Columbus' performance of Scrooge: The Musical. Follow along as Scrooge learns about the true meaning of Christmas and helping others. Check out the musical on Fridays and Saturdays (at 8 p.m.) and Sundays (at 3 p.m.) through Dec. 16. Tickets cost $12 for students and seniors, and $15 for adults.

Cirque du Soleil: Quidam
After making a stop in Columbus this past summer, Cirque du Soleil is back with a new show. It's called Quidam, and it follows a young girl and her imaginary world. The multi-act show includes dazzling acrobatics, fun music and exciting effects. Catch Quidam Dec. 6-9 at Nationwide Arena. Show times vary based on date, and tickets cost $35-$95.

It's a family classic, and it certainly wouldn't be the holidays without it! BalletMet is once again presenting The Nutcracker, which tells the story of a young girl and a dream involving her nutcracker doll. The show runs from Dec. 7-23 at the Ohio Theatre. Tickets cost $20-$78, and show times vary based on the date. Don't miss the dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy!

This fun-to-watch, world-famous basketball team is coming to Nationwide Arena on Friday, Dec. 28, and they are letting the crowd help decide the rules of the game. Visit the website to vote on the rules that you want to see incorporated, with choices like a four-point shot and a penalty box. This is basketball like you've never seen it! There are two game options: 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets range from $14-$119.

HOOT Family Film Series
On the last Saturday of each month, the Gateway Film Center presents family-friendly films (they're all rated G) from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. But that's not all: Kids can also enjoy activities and live entertainment. Bring a canned good, and admission to the film festival is free. The donations will benefit The Open Shelter. Experience this month's HOOT on Saturday, Dec. 29.
