Math may not be your child’s favorite subject, but it is a necessary skill to master.

Parents can help their children better appreciate the subject by celebrating Math Awareness month in April. 

One of the best ways to convince kids the topic is important is by showing them math’s role in daily life. The National Association for the Education of Young Children offers great suggestions on building math lessons into everyday tasks such as cooking, party planning and playing.
