Reading aloud to your children is a fun - and inexpensive - way to spend time together.
Why not resolve to start a regular family read-aloud night in 2013? Even if your children are old enough to read on their own, they can still benefit from time spent listening to you read.
Read Aloud America, http://www.readaloudamerica.org/booklist.htm, has compiled list of age-appropriate books that make good family reads. It's a great way to spur family discussions.
Consider starting with books that have been made into movies. When you've finished the book, watch the movie as a family.
